An Astral Event of Large Implications

I feel like I have to tell this complete story otherwise you won't see the whole context.

I had left Santa Cruz and was pretty down and out. I was living in a crap hotel for awhile, working and saving my money and at a point I decided to do some traveling. I left Portland, Oregon and visited Lake Tahoe in California. Hitch hiking. That was nice then I decided to go back to Portland.

I decide to take 101 back and I'm in Willits or Ukiah and it's around mid-day. And this woman picks me up. And asks if I'd like to go swimming at a lake. Sure, why not? I'm single, she's pretty. And so we do and we are skinny dipping at this lake. Suddenly this biker looking guy comes up to her and says "who's this asshole?" and what is happening becomes quickly apparent. Her and him already had a date and she was using me to make him jealous. I apologize, quickly dress and get the hell out of there. I'm no tough guy.

So despair goes even deeper. I'm sitting along 101, and I get a ride from a biker in a car and he's boring the crap out of me, bragging about this and that and scaring me a little so I ask him to let me out. Sure, no problem, man, now ti's dark and I'm in the mountains along a lonely stretch of highway by myself. Great, just great.

A bit later I hear this roar of a bunch of motocycles. My mind races and I wonder if that guy who picked me up went back to get his buddies.  I go into the woods. This whole gang pull over right where I had been let off and stop. I am terrified. What if they find me? Maybe that guy earlier with the girl was part of this gang? Maybe the guy who gave me a ride was too? Outlaw bikers kill people some times. I was so frightened. What if they are telepathic? What if they feel me?

Time stood still and I try not to make a sound.

At just that minute, this "presence" comes in right thru the top of my head and talks to me from WITHIN my head. Like my head becomes a hollow chamber and it is one big stereo speaker and she is using all of that to talk to me. And she assures me it's all going to be ok, then as quickly as she appeared she disappears.

And at that same moment, the bikers mount up and ride off.

So what are the implications of such an event? Was I so scared that I went insane? Was I hallucinating? None of that, I was as sober as a judge at that moment. It really happened and that was an astral person that talked to me. One thing it showed me was that they have abilities that we can't imagine. Such as being able to look into this world and alter events if they want to. And to enter into the bodies of people here on earth in order to "talk" to them. I've been intimate with people before, but I had never actually shared the inside of my head with anyone.

It showed me, for a brief moment, that the astral universe is very real and is populated by very real beings. Like us only so much more advanced.

If the astral universe is true, then immortality is also true and we too can someday aspire to become an astral citizen with abilities that we can't even dream of now. The strange thing about it, it didn't change me at all. It was the most cosmic spiritual thing that I ever experienced and it didn't change me. What I can only conclude is that changes happen when you are ready for them. That was more of an intervention than anything. She saved me from those bikers.

In later years, I read Jane Roberts' books. Seth Speaks and The Seth Material, and she talks about how Seth, an astral being, "borrows" her body so that he can dictate his messages. Jane apparently completely vacates her body and her soul goes somewhere else. I don't remember where they said she went. But because of my experience, it made Jane's books plausible for me.

As I remember, Seth's message isn't about how to become telepathic, it's more about how to live here on earth and how to become a happier human being. Those books are good to widen your horizons. I need to re-read them myself. Also Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda, he goes into great detail about telepathic things and the astral universe.
